For the next event on June 4, DJ ¥anTo from India will be visiting Japan, bringing with him a sacred text titled “MP3” that he acquired in a remote region. Joining him will be TRIPPY (Daijoubu Music), one of the top acts in Tokyo’s fancot scene, and the familiar “Last Train Demon” and “High-Powered Demon King”—aka mukuro-jima. Making their debut at Tourism are the secretive couple of the Tokyo underground techno scene, the heartwarming uumen, and the smooth-voiced MC Shadow. Also joining the lineup is Honma Honganji, the leading figure of Japanese hard groove, currently in the midst of his “sugar daddy” activities. Presented in a showcase format—1,800 seconds per DJ—this grand spectacle in Nishi-Ikebukuro features six artists delivering 180 minutes of non-stop action. Next time: “Cheers!
