Peanut Butter Wolf、Knxwledge、Mndsgn、Michiによる スペシャル・ジャパンツアー東京公演が「MIDNIGHT EAST」にて開催される。 出演は、レーベル創設者／ディレクターであり、世界屈指のレコードコレクター／DJとしても知られるPeanut Butter Wolf、グラミー賞受賞ユニットNxWorries（Anderson .Paak × Knxwledge）の一員としても活躍するビートメイカーKnxwledge、LAビートシーンを代表するマルチアーティストMndsgn、そして今回が初来日となるソウル／R&BシンガーMichi。〈Stones Throw〉の過去・現在・未来を象徴する4組が集結する。 さらに、日本のヒップホップ／ビートシーンを代表するMURO、KM、16FLIP、OMSB、grooveman Spot、GREEN ASSASSIN DOLLARら国内アーティストも出演。MIDNIGHT EASTならではのジャンルレスかつ多層的な空間を展開する。 1996年の設立以来、〈Stones Throw〉はMadlib、J Dilla、MF DOOM、NxWorries、Mayer Hawthorne、Aloe Blaccなど数々の革新的アーティストを輩出し、ヒップホップを軸にジャンルを横断する独自の音楽カルチャーを築いてきた。 今回、Peanut Butter Wolfは2018年以来となる来日出演が決定。レーベル30周年をテーマにした特別な “Stones Throw 30 Years Video DJ Set” を披露する。貴重な映像と音楽を融合させながら、30年に及ぶレーベルの歴史を辿るスペシャルセットとなる。 また、本イベントではアメリカ西海岸発のブランド〈HUF〉とのコラボレーションも実現。限定コラボTシャツの販売も予定されている。 LAと東京、それぞれのシーンが交差する、30周年にふさわしいスペシャルナイトをお見逃しなく。 Los Angeles-based independent label Stones Throw Records celebrates its 30th anniversary with a special event at MIDNIGHT EAST (Spotify O-EAST & Azumaya) in Tokyo on June 6. The lineup features label founder/director and legendary DJ Peanut Butter Wolf, Grammy-winning producer Knxwledge of NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge), multi-talented artist Mndsgn, and rising soul/R&B singer Michi, who will make her Japan debut at the event. Together, the four artists represent the past, present, and future of Stones Throw. The event will also feature leading artists from Japan’s hip-hop and beat scene, including MURO, KM,16FLIP, OMSB, grooveman Spot, and GREEN ASSASSIN DOLLAR, creating a genre-crossing, multi-floor experience unique to MIDNIGHT EAST. Since 1996, Stones Throw has been home to groundbreaking artists such as Madlib, J Dilla, MF DOOM, NxWorries, Mayer Hawthorne, and Aloe Blacc, building a global reputation across hip-hop, soul, funk, electronic music, and beyond. Peanut Butter Wolf will return to Japan for the first time since 2018, performing a special “Stones Throw 30 Years” Video DJ Set — an audiovisual performance blending rare archival footage with music spanning the label’s 30-year history. The event is supported by West Coast brand HUF, with a limited-edition collaboration T-shirt planned for release. A special night where the sounds and cultures of Los Angeles and Tokyo come together in celebration of 30 years of Stones Throw.
