SHARD ー Drunken Kong & PØPU(Canada)

The first guest is PØPU (Vancouver, CAN). He is a resident DJ at VANTEK Group, one of Vancouver’s leading underground clubs, and a co-founder of the city’s iconic electronic music event “FOG” (w/ DK PAU). With a mentally deep atmosphere, a groove-centered sound, and a driving force woven by hard, hypnotic kicks—his DJ sets pour uninterrupted energy into the dancefloor. He is also active as a member of JP-91 (Spanish electronic duo), and has made a strong presence across many stages including VANTEK / Bass Coast Festival / Gorgomish / Vault / Electric Love Festival / Village Studios. Now, he will carve that frenzy into SHARD. The second guest marks the return of KYOKO from DRUNKEN KONG, globally recognized as one of Asia’s leading techno artists. With releases on top labels such as Tronic and Terminal M, they recorded #1 in Beatport Techno annual overall sales in 2022. In 2023, they released the first EP by an Asian artist on Drumcode, led by Adam Beyer, and in 2024 they released the collaborative EP “Sakura” with Bart Skils. The included track “Set It Right” continues to show a strong presence on the techno charts. In addition to appearances at overseas festivals such as ADE, ULTRA in various countries, Burning Beach Festival, and Freshwave Festival, a live-stream performance held in front of the Head Buddha Hall by architect Tadao Ando was also featured by Mixmag, drawing attention for her activities connecting “music and space.” Resident Shogo Ito saw his track “Timeless,” released late last year on Reload, reach #1 on Beatport Hype Techno (Peak Time/Driving) and #11 on the main Techno(P/D) chart, and it has also recorded 350,000 streams on Spotify. In February this year, a guest booking in Bangkok, Thailand was also realized, further accelerating his momentum. Supporting the B1 MAIN FLOOR are PLUSED, who shakes the floor with his own groove and intensity, centered on energetic and driving tech house and techno. Also on the lineup is female DJ RIKAH, who has continued a streak of standout performances since the very first SHARD and is now drawing attention for her groovy play. And on 1F, a new party, “Phantom,” begins. Welcoming Tokyo-based producer/DJ duo Herbalistek as guests, their dark and experimental bass-music-centered, immersive sound will drive the night—just as they do across festivals in and outside Japan and within the Tokyo underground scene. The organizer is TIAN, who draws a unique worldview with poetic sound, centered on deep minimal techno. In addition, MARK MILA, curator of the popular parties “JOYSTICK” and “HADOU HOUSE,” gojitmal, who released an EP on a Barcelona label in 2024 and launched his own label Psyche-Paths, and Shun Kurashima, who has performed at ULTRA’s RESISTANCE and ADE (Amsterdam Dance Event), will shape the 1F “Phantom” FLOOR.
