Chee Shimizu(Organic Music/Phisical Store) リスニング、アンビエント、ダンス、実験音楽、和モノなど幅広いプレイ・スタイルを得意とし、国内外で長きにわたり活動を続ける。選曲家、文筆家、プロデューサー、レコード・ショップ／レコード・レーベル主宰など、音楽旅先案内人としても多彩な仕事に従事し、リミックス／リエディット・ワークも多数こなす。昨今は即興音楽家とのライブ・セッションにも取り組んでおり、LAのESP InstituteからChee Shimizu + miku-mari名義でのアルバムが2021年2月にリリースされたほか、海外アーティストに提供した最新リミックスのリリースも控えている。著書に『obscure sound 桃源郷的音盤640選』『OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION』。 Chee Shimizu (Organic Music / Phisical Store) Chee Shimizu is a Japan-based DJ known for his wide-ranging style, spanning listening music, ambient, dance, experimental sounds, and Japanese rare grooves. He has been active both in Japan and internationally for many years. Beyond DJing, he works as a selector, writer, and producer, while also running a record shop and label. As a guide to musical journeys, he engages in diverse activities and has produced numerous remix and re-edit works. In recent years, he has also been involved in live sessions with improvisational musicians. In February 2021, he released an album under the name Chee Shimizu + miku-mari via LA’s ESP Institute, and new remix releases for international artists are forthcoming. His publications include Obscure Sound: 640 Records from a Utopian Sonic Landscape and Obscure Sound Revised Edition.
