CURRENTS

Focusing on tracks and albums released each year, the selections move freely across mainstream, indie and underground sounds — spanning pop, indie rock, electronic, dance music, hip-hop, R&B and folk. Moving between the physical energy of club music and the listening sensibility of indie and pop, CURRENTS shares the current flow of music in one space. The party takes place at Alffo Records, a record shop and bar in Shinmachi, Osaka. Surrounded by new and used records, it is a place where music lovers can gather naturally, listen closely and spend the evening at their own pace. CURRENTSは2019年に大阪で始まった、新譜を軸に広義のポップミュージックを横断するDJパーティーです。 その年にリリースされた楽曲やアルバムを中心に、メインストリームからインディー／アンダーグラウンドまで、ポップ、インディーロック、エレクトロニック、ダンスミュージック、ヒップホップ、R&B、フォークなどをジャンルレスに選曲。 クラブミュージックの身体性と、インディー／ポップのリスニング感覚を行き来しながら、いまこの時期に鳴っている音楽の“流れ”をひとつの空間で共有します。 会場のAlffo Recordsは、大阪・新町にあるレコードショップ兼バー。新譜・中古レコードが並ぶ店内で、音楽に耳を傾けながらゆったりと過ごせる、音楽好きが自然に集まる場所です。
