Around 2010, he stepped away from clubs and began performing lounge/chillout sets in cafés and traditional machiya townhouses in Kyoto, working with a digital setup. He returned to club DJing last year. Currently, he hosts “VGM Cool Cafe,” a background-music-style party dedicated to video game music at Cafe la Siesta in Kiyamachi, Kyoto. He has previously performed with kekq at “Senshin Yuka,” a machiya-based event co-organized with Noh performers, tea masters, and composers.
