Sleepless Nights will be available on most digital platforms, Feb. 26th. San Francisco's Duserock and D!SHA unite for their first collaboration, Sleepless Nights, a digital single on Finely Tuned. Produced by Duserock and brought to life with D!SHA's emotive lyrics and vocals, the track layers her sultry, spacious performance over thick synth chords and a modern disco bounce. It has the cinematic quality of end credits rolling over a night skyline. Guilluame (the solo alias of Phil Collis, known for Bachelors of Science and Sleight of Hands) strips the original down to its bones. His remix builds around cool breakbeats and sci-fi atmospheres, creating a haunting take that drifts into broken-beat territory where D!SHA's delivery finds an ideal setting. DIRTYHERTZ, a San Francisco-based producer with releases spanning Pacha to Black Hole Recordings, goes big. His remix swells into hands-in-the-air chord progressions and evocative breakdowns. There's a vocoded element that recalls Laurie Anderson's "O Superman," all processed syllables and synthetic warmth. The extended version gives DJs room to work.
