ALT-SHIFT is a new live electronic music series at Shibuya OTO, supported by Modular Wednesday. Hardware live, club culture, and Japan's evolving modular scene — ALT-SHIFT connects these three to create a space of transformation. Mush (In_Synk) delivers heavyweight machine live sets built on precise sequencing. at her open door incorporates trumpet into a hardware-based system, deconstructing and reconstructing jazz through an experimental and brutal sound. Wataru Naruse, head of dub techno label Early Reflection, pursues depth through heavy sound and repetition. Opening DJ is Woody of FoW (Friends of Wires), connecting hardware live performance and club culture.
