Based in Japan, SOTA is a floor-focused selector with an impressive work ethic—spinning ten or more sets monthly across Kyoto and Tokyo's club scene. His approach centers on four-on-the-floor fundamentals, blending house, disco, and techno into sets that keep dancefloors engaged without sacrificing technical precision. SOTA has built a reputation supporting international acts, and recently proved his curatorial strength by hosting Swedish re-edit label Gamm and Basic Fingers boss Mad Mats during a successful Kyoto tour. Currently championing the Kyoto club circuit, SOTA continues to develop his platform through residencies including Back Home, following his work with Pride & Joy. His selection style reflects a deep understanding of what makes a room move—reliable, inventive, and always anchored in genuine dancefloor sensibility.
