After a Sold-out 2023 debut, the wizard returns to Singapore. Join us at MDLR for another chapter of our Intimate Sessions. Damian Lazarus. Crosstown Rebels founder. Day Zero creator. Grammy-nominated artist. And one of the most visionary tastemakers the dance floor has ever known. Few figures in electronic music have shaped both sound and culture the way Damian Lazarus has. DJ, producer, label head, and ritual architect, he's built worlds as much as careers. Through his globally influential label Crosstown Rebels (est. 2003, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023 with a book, compilation, and world tour), he discovered and nurtured some of the most important names in modern electronic music: Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, and Art Department among them. His sister label Rebellion continues to push sounds that live at the outer edges of the dance floor. His musical DNA runs deep. From London's drum & bass underground through electro clash and into the heart of contemporary house and techno, his influences span show tunes, jazz, electro, soul, and everything that lives in the spaces between. Anyone who's followed his legendary Lazpod mix series already knows this. Other career highlights include a Grammy-nominated collaboration with Diplo and Jungle (Don't Be Afraid, 2021), a four-year residency at Hï Ibiza alongside Black Coffee, and over a decade of legendary season-closing sets at CircoLoco's Main Room. He also created Day Zero (Tulum, expanding to Brazil and Bali in 2026), Get Lost, and Rebel Rave, gatherings that have become pilgrimage points for the global dance community. Now untethered from his Ibiza residency and roaming free, he's bringing that energy to Singapore. Warming up the floor: EJ MISSY: Singapore's own EJ Missy has been a driving force in the city's electronic music scene for two decades. A self-professed clubber before she ever touched a deck, she learned her craft the pure way: proper hustle, deep listening, and letting the music speak first. In a scene often dominated by big room theatrics, EJ represents something rarer. Cool, unbothered mastery. No gimmick. Just pure skill and sound storytelling. Her sound lives where uplifting house grooves meet deep, dark, hypnotic techno. Melody-driven but never soft. Warm but with teeth. Recognised by Mixmag Asia as a key figure in Singapore's underground, she's held residencies at Supperclub Singapore, Kyo Singapore, Kyo Kuala Lumpur, and currently at The Council/Thugshop. She's opened for Charlotte De Witte, Dixon, Sasha, Nils Hoffmann, Rødhåd, Sebastien Leger, Eli & Fur, Adana Twins, Vintage Culture, and many more. EJ Missy isn't just supporting this show. She's setting the tone for the entire night. About the venue: MDLR is Thugshop's underground pop-up space at 62 Cecil Street, Singapore. Equipped with a Martin Audio sound system and capacity for 400, it's become one of Singapore's most exciting spaces for international underground electronic music events. Some nights you remember. This one, you'll feel forever.
