RASA presents Rural Festival Takeover

Ask anyone who’s been to rural and you’ll likely see the same reaction — a quiet smile and a distant look in their eyes. What began as a true if-you-know-you-know gathering deep in the Japanese countryside has grown into one of the most respected festivals in Asia’s underground. Built around uncompromising sound, long-form dancefloors and careful curation, rural has hosted global legends like Jane Fitz while continually championing regional talent and its own close-knit residents. On Thursday, April 2, RASA welcomes rural founder Atsushi Maeda alongside long-time resident Nao for a night channeling the festival’s spirit — hypnotic, driving techno designed for deep immersion on the Floor. Atsushi’s sets are known for pushing dancers into unfamiliar territory, guided by the same philosophy that shaped rural itself. Nao brings a groove-led, hypnotic approach forged across dancefloors from Tresor to Bassiani, blending weight and momentum with fluid precision. Capturing the festival's spirit alongside its residents, we have community favourites Aya b2b 3MZY and Sivanesh on opening duties.   In the hall, HEAVYITCH brings emulates that Japanese vinyl culture all night long, giving space and respite from the techno-filled hall. Expect eclectic grooves unbound from genres which guide you through the night.
