Low End links up with KL’s notorious Dub Tings crew for a night of original 140 dubs straight from the +60, with Jony Maddkidz and Runaaki headlining the subfrequency transmission Upstairs on Level 3. On the mic, infamous omarKENOBI brings smooth bars and razor delivery, with support from SG’s neighborhood Low End crew: Krstn, Scondah, and Shaf. Bass heads with a taste for techno are in for a treat with sho&tell on Level 2 at HQ. Headlining: JONY MADDKIDZ Jony Maddkidz is more than a DJ, He’s trailblazer. Against the backdrop of Kuala Lumpur’s concrete labyrinth, Jony has spent over the decade carving out the culture of UK bass where there was none. What began as a few mates sharing tunes evolved into Dub Tings, his platform for Malaysian artists to make a global imprint. In 2023, his debut EP as a producer, ‘Culture’ pulsed into existence. A selection of 140 BPM soundscapes that echoed the city’s heartbeat. The release marked the beginning of a new era for Malaysian-made productions and solidified Jony at the forefront of the scene. Fuelled by an obession for the murky, pulsating sounds of dubstep, grime, experimental and jungle, Jony commands the dancefloor on his terms. Beyond empowering local talent, he’ supported global icons from the UK’s Yung Singh and A Guy Called Gerald to Thailand DJ Dragon and Chinese/Vietnames-British rapper Jianbo. Jony was never about simply playing tunes, he’s about building communities, supporting talent and puttinng his homeland on the map. RUNAAKI Runaaki is an electronic music producer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he debuted in 2009 with an EP that marked his entry in the world of UK Bass music. His productions are defined by intricate rhythms, atmospheric soundscapes, and experimental energy that continuously push the boundaries of genre .Runaaki is a key artist for the label Sir Dub Muzik, where he released his debut EP as Runaaki in 2023. Recent and major releases are Naxx Lost Dubs (Self Release), Énouement EP (Sir Dub Muzik), Duh (VA Album on Dub Hustle Records), Rattlesnake EP (Sir Dub Muzik), and Sly Grin / Swamp EP (Sir Dub Muzik). Runaaki has also taken his music to the stage, performing as the opening act for renowned international artists such as Dr Dubplate (UK), Laksa (UK), The Greys (UK) and DJ Dragon (Thailand), further solidifying his presence in the global scene. On the mic: Singaporean rapper, producer, host, and voiceover artist omarKENOBI is known for his sharp delivery, commanding vocal presence, and deep roots in the local scene. Rising to prominence with Mediocre Haircut Crew, he went on to perform at festivals including Laneway, Neon Lights, and Baybeats, while also building a solo catalogue through collaborations with Sam Rui, Khally, Fauxe, Charlie Lim, and Fariz Jabba. His track “Kalah” has crossed 6 million streams, and beyond the stage, he continues to champion regional music through radio, hosting, and voice work. —— This is no trend-chasing night: no eyes in the sky, no gaze to perform for.
