The Night Belongs to the Underground with Shigeto

Shigeto steps behind the decks at Underground SF for a full DJ set, carrying with him a catalogue that spans years of releases on a variety of labels including Ghostly International and a deep rootedness in Detroit's experimental underground. The same city that built Monday is the New Monday, his weekly that became a cornerstone of Detroit's electronic community, is the same city whose spirit runs through everything AYLI's Unabridged campaign is built to honor. Shigeto is equally at home soundtracking a room of closed-eyed listeners and a room full of sweaty bodies, and today he gets both. Holding down support are two selectors who know exactly what a room like this demands. Aivilo, AYLI's Unabridged campaign project lead, brings her deep-rooted fluency in house, techno, and the left-field textures that make late nights feel like discovery. Researcher rounds out the lineup with his wide-ranging, scene-tested curation: part Brooklyn, part Detroit, all intention. Together they carry the thread of the Unabridged campaign into the small hours.
