AdHoc & RVNG Intl. present Tristan Allen & Frances Chang. Celebrating the release of Tristan’s Osni the Flare album and Frances’ I can feel the waves 7”. Tristan's Osni the Flare is a puppet performance set to an original album. It includes rod, shadow, hybrid, and body puppetry. Made possible with the support of The Jim Henson Foundation, the project is the continuation of a trilogy that blends music and puppetry, unfolding a creation myth, a fable of how fire came to be. Frances performs with piano at the center, synths and strings swelling around its shoulders. A little less tension, a lot more production. Some shadows will be encountered, some forgotten skeletons unearthed. Music excavated from the subtler, deeper layers of cerebral and shared experiences. Music that is truly its own.
