On Saturday, March 28th, The Disco Express rolls into Dead Letter No. 9 to celebrate nine years of bringing disco-fueled joy to dance floors around the world. What began as a loft party in East London in 2017 has grown into a global movement part record label, part DJ collective, and part traveling party dedicated to the timeless power of groove. Rooted in classic disco, funk, and soulful house, The Disco Express has become a trusted name for feel-good, high-energy dance floors. Since its beginnings, The Disco Express has taken its signature sound across the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, and the U.S, building a loyal international following of dancers and selectors. Their releases and parties have earned support from artists like Purple Disco Machine, The Blessed Madonna, Folamour, and Groove Armada, helping fuel the modern disco revival while introducing a new wave of producers and selectors keeping the sound alive. From London to New York and beyond, The Disco Express continues to champion music that brings people together and this March, they’re celebrating nine years the best way they know how: with a packed dance floor and records that don’t quit. In CARGO: London–NYC based DJ and producer Bustin’ Loose founder of The Disco Express brings a decade of disco-driven dance floors to the room. With releases on Toy Tonics, Whiskey Disco, Ubiquity, Cosmos, theBasement, and multiple vinyl on his own Disco Express imprint, he’s become a staple in the modern nu-disco circuit. His sets have taken him from Berlin, Paris, Rome, Milan, Copenhagen, Stockholm, New York, and Mexico City to festival stages like Glastonbury, Wilderness, Elrow, SGP, and Boogietown, while sharing lineups with artists including Dimitri From Paris, Moodymann, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Dave Lee, Crazy P, Etienne De Crécy, and Late Nite Tuff Guy. Expect a high-energy journey through nu-disco, uplifting house, vintage funk, and soulful 70s–80s gems. He's joined by Bea Trinidad a New York City–born Filipina DJ, vinyl selector, and producer known for groove-forward, genre-blending sets rooted in house music. Drawing from soul, disco, R&B, and global club sounds, her selections reflect a lifetime of musical immersion as a classically trained pianist and dancer. She has brought her sound to respected NYC booths like Public Records, Elsewhere, and Nublu, while also playing internationally in Berlin, Milan, Jakarta, and Hong Kong, blending global rhythms and deep house energy into vibrant, dancefloor-driven sets. Magnolia joins us from Paris, where he’s become a regular presence in the city’s disco and house scene. A resident with The Disco Express and the iconic Sacré club, Magnolia is an instrumentalist, DJ, and producer whose sound blends modern nu-disco with classic house, funk, and disco influences. Part of the new wave of artists emerging from the Disco Express label family, his productions including releases like Deep Inside My Soul and Never Give Up On Love, channel classic disco warmth with contemporary club production. In the Foyer, Roland & Brother Rich and Lee Walker keep the dance floor warm from start to finish with a steady stream of soulful, groove-driven house.
