For as long as there has been undergound house music in New York City... there has been a magical, puritan land only 3 hours away engaged in a cultural exchange with it. The Little Bean to our Big Apple energy, that place is called Boston. It's demonstrably true that Boston has been putting in heavy & steady work since the early 90's. Many of the parties and venues there have been running for decades. The dedication is fierce, the scene is tight knit, and the key players are often some of the best in the business. A lot of present day household names came up in the 617, and while many eventually move to New York or elsewhere, there is a new wave of hyper talented and deeply determined artists that have eschewed the allure of ex-patriotism in favor of revitalizing the local ecosystem. For this party we're inviting two current Boston heavy-hitters to join forces with two past Bostonites and grace brooklyn's most humble house of dance music with deep cuts from their expansive record collections. Perhaps the most recognizable name in the current Boston scene, Mx Blaire will be making the trek down for a long overdue return to Bossa Nova Civic Club. She's been working hard up north, as an integral part of the Boudoir parties, as well as her own events - Sheer Bliss & Sweetie Pie. Her last visit to New York saw her spin a blazing hot set alongside Octo Octa & A Lana, so we are incredibly excited to see what surprises she has in store for the intimate space inside Bossa. Incredibly deft selections of house, breaks, and acid coupled with strong technical skills on the turntables will make for a delectable deejay set. Joining her on the journey will be another skilled selector in their own right: Frank Paper. As the newest resident of Bostons best underground party Vyoo, they will make their NYC debut with wax that reflects an obsession with digging deeper & deeper. They've been making the rounds at all the Boston Spots over the last few years and it's high time we bring them to the big city. Rounding out the line up are two home town heroes who cut their teeth in the boston scene years ago before making waves in New York. S4m23, known for acid cuts that are as obscure as they are delicious, has been leaving her mark on just about every club in NYC as well as far away locales. A Lana, recently named one of Public Records newest residents will be keeping the vibe alive with her signature soulful house sound. One Night. No Cover. All Vinyl. Four deejays, each with their own unique Boston Story to tell. Thank You for Choosing THE BOSTON CONNECTION.
