CARGO welcomes a special session from JKriv and Peter Matson, two artists whose work bridges musicianship, production, and deep dance floor culture. Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist JKriv is widely known as the co-founder of Razor-N-Tape, one of the most respected labels in modern disco and house. Across a career spanning more than two decades, he’s taken an unconventional route through club music beginning as a trained jazz musician and live performer before evolving into a prolific producer, remixer, and selector. His catalog spans releases on Soundway Records, Heist Recordings, Moton Records, and Z Records, alongside collaborations with artists like Dimitri From Paris, Horse Meat Disco, and Adi Oasis. Through Razor-N-Tape’s 150+ releases and their local record shop in Greenpoint, JKriv has helped shape both the local and global dance music landscape. His DJ sets reflect that depth moving fluidly between disco, house, global grooves, and unexpected left-field cuts with the instincts of a true crate digger. Joining him is Peter Matson, musician, DJ, and producer best known as the bandleader of NYC’s afro-post-punk outfit Underground System. Matson has toured internationally and released music across labels including Soul Clap Records, Planet E Communications, Heist Recordings, and Bastard Jazz Recordings, with forthcoming releases on Razor-N-Tape and Heavenly Sweetness. As both a performer and DJ, Matson has moved between live stages and underground dance floors across the world from the Apollo Theater and Central Park SummerStage to Brooklyn staples like Good Room and Black Flamingo, as well as festivals including Fusion Festival in Germany and Laurent Garnier’s Festival Yeah! in France. Together, the two bring decades of musical knowledge, studio craft, and dance floor intuition into CARGO for a late-night set rooted in groove, rhythm, and deep selections. In the Foyer we welcome Domenica + Miss Alicia Domenica is a Brooklyn-based musician, DJ, and Latin Grammy-winning flutist whose work moves fluidly between live performance and the dance floor. Best known as the frontwoman of NYC afro-funk outfit Underground System, she brings the same high-energy musicality and global influences from the stage into her DJ sets. With roots in funk, afrobeat, disco, and groove-driven dance music, Domenica approaches the booth with the instincts of a live performer building sets that feel vibrant, rhythmic, and deeply musical. Joining her is Miss Alicia, a Brooklyn-based artist and self-described funky lady known for spreading joy everywhere she goes. As co-founder of the beloved outdoor DIY party Sweet Kicks alongside Rose Kourts and Karlala, Alicia has a soft spot for events that feel community-driven, artsy, and rooted in good energy. Behind the decks, her sound is eclectic and deeply groovy. With crates packed full of freewheeling house, disco, and global selections, Miss Alicia keeps the dance floor loose and smiling.
