Stasis Oasis is an ambient/experimental music party. Whether it is your ultimate destination for the night or a waypoint in between events, we hope you come over and zone out. At Stasis Oasis, our desire is to provide a space for rest and contemplation. Please feel free to bring any cushions and blankets you may wish to lay on while listening. The Interference edition of Stasis Oasis will be an exploration of pop and its relationship to less legible sound. Performers will generate atmospheres that oscillate between concrete and abstract genres, stretching out moments of radio-border crossing into hour-long sets. The event intends to serve as a processual limit-finding mission: When does music become interference? When does ambience cross the noise line? Where does taste or sensibility harden? Our only request is that you keep louder conversations away from the stage, so as to not disturb the performers or your fellow relaxers. Other than that, please be yourself, dress how you please, and fall back into the swirl of affects.
