Midnight Swim: Shi Shi & Pacer

Magnetic forces realign igniting a cosmic burst of energy, radiating deep into the vast expanse. Pacer ( @dasani.boy ) cut his teeth playing DIY spots and clubs around Chicago as half of DJ duo Dasani Boys opening for the likes of Galcher Lustwerk, Charli XCX, and Virgil Abloh. He recently hosted Pacer Test, a monthly internet radio show on Chicago's Beloved Radio featuring mixes blending house, new wave, techno, electro, and dub. Now based in Brooklyn, he helps throw the Janet Jackson inspired parties THROB and Free Xone with DJ Shi Shi. Shi Shi ( @djshishiiii ) is a NYC based DJ and educator. She is the co-founder of the DJ workshop and skill-sharing platform We Got Next, the NYC based party THROB, and hosts the youth education program BbLeaders Radio / Frequency Society in collaboration with Building Beats. Her sets weave multiple forms of house, techno, and other dance music all while keeping things funky. Her work prioritizes a balance of education and nightlife focusing on the intersection of dancefloor happiness, youth advocacy, and sonic art.
