Benefit for Jake the Rapper

Our good friend Jake the Rapper recently went through a surgical nightmare during what should have been a routine knee replacement surgery. Following the operation he developed a staph infection, and was placed in quarantine in the hospital while preparing for what would be two subsequent operations on his knee before the surgery was finally successful. He’s recently been released from the hospital after what became a 6 week stay, and is on the long road to recovery and rehabilitation before he is able to walk and work properly again. We’ve decided to come together as a community and raise some funds to help with the many costs associated with recovery from such a procedure, as well as help make up for lost work as he has been unable to play music or even work in a studio for quite some time. Jake has been quick with a joke and a smile for many of us, and even those who don’t know him personally surely know his music, which is just as much fun as he is. It’s our pleasure to host his friends and music family in NYC on Thursday March 19th at the Turks Inn. Starting at 10pm we’ll be playing some tunes, please stop by and have a drink and tell a story or two. All funds collected at the door and bar are going to Jake’s gofundme to assist with recovery/ rehabilitation costs as well as to make up for loss of income due to medical issues.
