futago debuts its first in-person, live party after two years as a radio show on HKCR. created by nyc dj, radio host, and organizer, amita, futago explores the unique collaborations and sounds that form through b2b dj sets. for our first party, we are delighted to invite some of new york city’s most innovative and unique djs from the underground scene. Petal goes back to back with CMD+Jazmine for what will be an iconic collaboration rooted in hypnotic melodies, addictive grooves, and dynamic drums that are sure to make your body move. bass music heavyweight, Ovid goes back to back with amita to create a world of drum forward sound exploration. unburdened by genre, the duo will take you through a journey of dynamic rhythms and percussion driven patterns. the genre agnostic evening will take you through a journey connected by heavy bass, drum forward rhythms, and world building sound. *** Ovid is a Brooklyn-based, Korean-Salvadoran Producer/DJ originally from the Washington, D.C. metro area who has been making electronic music for over 10 years. Deeply influenced by the Hard Drum movement borne out of Bristol, UK, he has contributed drum-forward bass music releases to labels such as Ireland's FLOOD, Brooklyn-based Production House Loosee, and most recently Bristol keystone Nostro Hood System. DJ sets involve a blend of all things bass and drum, from UK Funky to drum-forward techno, Gqom to Dubstep, with explorations into the spaces in and outside of those realms. @ovidmusick Petal Rose is a NY-native, Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and organizer attempting to nurture the community’s heartbeat. By playing in symphony, she melds her favorite sounds to create a frenetic yet joyous vibe, bolstered by memorable melodies and dynamic drums. Legend has it, she’s got bitches doing cartwheels in the club. If that doesn’t convince you, nothing will. @petal.tmp CMD+JAZMINE is the electronic music project of Jazmine (JT) Green, combining her love of percussive builds, vocal samples, and complex blends through the lens of a cyborg who desperately wants to be human. Her practice explores the spiritual qualities of improvisation, the convergence of technology and the human body, and the intersection of gender and race through visual, performance, and sound art. She writes and produces electronic music as CMD+JAZMINE. @cmdjazmine amita is a queens based dj, radio host, and organizer. amita is a sonic chameleon, rooting their sound in heavy bass and genre pushing melodies. From breaks and electro; to jungle and footwork, they weave together sets that are for that exact moment. You may have heard amita at beloved NYC clubs like Public Records, Mood Ring, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Trans-Pecos, Market Hotel, Elsewhere and more. They have been featured on mixes with the Lot Radio, SWU/Rinse FM, Everyday Junglist, Room 303, Tokyo Beer Labs, and more. @amitamarsanto Free all night __________ Jupiter Disco is a safe space for all.
