The sun is shining, freestyle is blasting through the streets of New York, and we’re excited to bring you an all-wax celebration of syncopated percussion, synthetic instrumentation, and soulful vocals. Born from the same soundsystems that nurtured hip-hop, freestyle carved its own path through the city. Drawing from Latin ballad traditions, Motown-influenced pop, electro, and Italo disco, the genre became the soundtrack to countless summer nights. Take me, take me to the water… Summertime, summertime… Maybe we can fall in love, in summertime, summertime… Fabiola digs deep into dance music with a versatile approach. Raised in Detroit, she developed a devotion to the pioneering sounds of Chicago, Miami, and New York. Through careful selections and unexpected connections, she weaves these influences into an enticing narrative that bridges past, present, and future dancefloors. Pr3zz0 cut his teeth hosting radio shows on WKCR-FM and has been spinning vinyl throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn since 2022. Now co-host of Groove Trackers FM, the show helping bring vinyl mixing back to New York radio, his sets move effortlessly through house, deep house, techno, freestyle, Miami bass, electro, funk, and soul—all mixed exclusively on wax. Gianna is one of those people who truly lives and breathes this music. Raised on the sounds of Trax Records and Chicago’s legendary Hot Mix 5, she has spent years branching outward into boogie, Italo disco, freestyle, and beyond, always searching for the records that connect generations of dance music culture. Drupe Jam, a devoted attendee of the annual Coney Island Freestyle Beach Fest, discovered her love of freestyle through the Italo and Hi-NRG sounds of the 1980s. Armed with an expansive collection of dollar-bin treasures and forgotten gems, she brings a crate-digger’s spirit and a deep affection for the emotional side of the dancefloor. Free all night
