Jupiter's Friends 4: To Be Or Not To Be……A Narcissist

Join us for the 4th edition of jupiter’s friends: to be or not to be…..a narcissist! a conversation about the possible symbiosis of narcissistic traits and creative pursuit. is it worth it? Panelists: Ajani Russell (they/them) is an Afro-Latina multidisciplinary artist from Brooklyn, New York, working across film, installation, sound, ceramics, painting, and photography. Their immersive practice explores the subconscious, spirituality, and interconnectedness through light, color, and composition. A CalArts BFA graduate, Russell has collaborated with brands like Nike, H&M, and Beams Tokyo, with work featured by HBO’s Betty and in publications including Interview, Hypebeast, and Highsnobiety. Eric Johnson (he/him) is an award-winning New York–based photographer known for his iconic portraiture and documentation of music and culture. Over a 30+ year career, he has captured defining figures in hip-hop and R&B—from Nas and Aaliyah to Lauryn Hill, including creating the cover for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill—and continues to shape contemporary culture today. He is the recipient of Abbey Road Studios’ inaugural ICON Award. Ziora Ajeroh (they/them) is a queer Nigerian-American organizer, model, and multidisciplinary creative from the DMV area. They founded a mutual aid collective in Washington DC’s Shaw neighborhood and have spent a decade raising funds for incarcerated trans youth, supporting single mothers escaping domestic violence, and conducting reproductive health drives in the Global South. As a cultural commentator, Ziora amplifies colonized voices and centers the Black diaspora. They are also a beauty influencer, known for their signature red hair, recently featured in Glamour UK. Z Inwoon (they/them) Korea born , New Jersey raised and growing up in New York, is a model and founder of OurChess NYC. OurChess serves as a community driven chess club that bridges the love of the game with the love of the people. Z founded OurChess to cultivate a space that’s safe for people from all walks of life to engage in the spirit of learning and teaching. Z’s propensity for creating community exceeds the OurChess realm, most notably earning them a spot on the Dazed 100 and an Adidas Creative Class of 2026, acknowledgments for their reflective social media content offerings that champion integrity, self-preservation and care.
