Join us on Sunday, May 3rd, for a slow-burning celebration of sapphics. Lush music, gentle movement, and lounging in the afterglow take center stage. Help us reimagine and create what sapphic electronic music culture can be. The day-to-night event starts at 1 pm with a dreamy opening DJ set by zabe. We gather afterwards to watch an immersive dance performance choreographed by Sarah Yasmine Marazzi-Sassoon and performed by Nadia Benes and Magali Johnston-Viens. We then enter the dancefloor for a movement session guided by none other than Yaya—a teacher, reiki healer, and health coach who bridges nightlife and movement health in beloved Brooklyn institutions such as Nowadays, Trans-Pecos, and Market Hotel. The music programming will gradually intensify into the night. First, a sexy downtempo set by YIANNA to connect you to your body. Lilli Winter follows with a deep drift of dubby, ethereal soundscapes. Preacher’s Daughter and LTE share the decks for the closing feral hours of the night. Each chapter is a shared experience we invite you to create together on the dancefloor or in the intimate lounge rooms. Dream Sequence will have a cozy, DIY sleepover vibe—wear something that makes you feel cute and cozy! The space will be abundant with blanket forts, crafts, beads, magazines, food, and a laid-back atmosphere. We hope to facilitate a shared ritual, not just a performance. We invite anyone who identifies as sapphic to join this event. For us, “sapphic” is an expansive term that includes lesbian, bisexual, and pansexual people across a spectrum of genders, trans femmes, trans masc, nonbinary, and cis women, anyone whose love and desire is oriented toward femme and queer love rooted in full humanity.
