Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Jubilee’s connection to rhythm runs deep—his father’s tarbouga, aoud, and bandir were the first instruments he ever heard. That North African pulse still hums beneath the surface of his sets, though the sound he’s built in New York City is squarely aimed at the dancefloor. Techno, minimal, and tech house come together in his productions with a sharp, hypnotic edge, never losing the warmth of his roots. As a resident at The Lot Radio, Jubilee has become a familiar voice in NYC’s underground scene, weaving sets that lock in from the first kick and refuse to let go. His “Main Character” EP, out on Numbers, showcases that balance of head-down groove and emotional lift—tracks built for dark rooms and 6am wanderers. Whether he’s digging into a long blend or dropping a razor-cut edit, the conversation between his heritage and his hardware is always clear.
