Miami-via-Lima project of Peruvian-American artist Mario Giancarlo — a songwriter, producer, and vinyl DJ whose music threads new wave, baroque pop, and tropi-goth into something quietly singular. Praised by Rolling Stone en Español and rooted in over 15 years of deep-crate vinyl excavation (Peruvian psychedelic cumbia is his specialty), HOTA brings both a live band set and DJ sensibility to the Sounds From Peru stage.
