Sound & Spirit Research Institute [SSRI] - a regular monthly night focused on vinyl and sharing underground sounds outside of clubs, warehouses, or renegades. A time and space to share music, gather, talk, listen, dance, commune, reflect, connect, build, and conspire during the week in an intimate setting with community, family, & friends. Music will be of various styles with no set boundaries or definitions - sonic experiments designed to uplift one's spirit by selectors with pure heart and passion for the craft. Curators/residents are 5tr8tch from No Nonsense Records, The Average Joe aka TAJ from Groovers Ball and Kosmik from The Black Lodge. Each month we will invite vinyl selectors from our communities to join and make their offering. This month we are gathering at the legendary Airliner in Lincoln Heights, Thursday May 7th with our special guest Nomadico aka Dj Dex of Underground Resistance fame and founder of Yaxteq records - a LA legend and beast on the decks.
