The man, the myth, the legend, DJ Harvey returns to Akbar to celebrate our 18th year of interplanetary debauchery and LA Pride and we couldn't be any happier. Early arrival suggested for this one... DJ Harvey was called “the Keith Richards of dance music” by Rolling Stone Magazine as they named him one of 25 DJ's That Rule The Earth. It's often stated for others but DJ Harvey IS your favorite DJ's favorite DJ. Best put by the man himself, “You can't understand the blues until you've had your heart broken and you can't understand my music until you’ve had group sex on Exctasy” Harvey tours the world at his own pace leaving plenty of time off for his other hobbies, surfing, collecting and restoring hi-fi, speakers, vinyl and riding fast motorcycles. He has release music under the monikers Locussolus, Black Cock, Map of Africa, and remixed everyone from The Police, to LCD Soundsystem. He is a drummer/singer in his own band The Wildest Dreams. He is frequently tapped to music supervise & DJ for High end fashion houses inc LVMH, Hermes, Prada and Hollywood productions most recently the Searchlight movie Greatest Hits in which he had a speaking cameo. Harvey also played himself in the movie Mission Impossible movie franchise Fallout."
