Indie-pop escape artist Max Leone returns to the grid with his debut album ‘SLIP’, with a live performance at Lincoln Heights’ iconic Airliner on release day. Raised on a steady diet of Cat Stevens and Springsteen before falling headfirst into the online melancholy of Bon Iver and Kid Cudi, Leone has quietly become one of LA’s most exciting exporters of yearning, with ‘SLIP’ serving as the widescreen culmination of everything he’s built so far. Joining Max on the lineup is Dadada, the post-dance punk capitalists taking Silverlake by storm. Combining live vocals and guitars with club propulsion, Dadada has quickly become a favourite among the over-sexed, under-paid, Luddite-curious east-side creatives. Warming up is Leclair, an artist described by several European micro-states as “technically overqualified” for this time slot, yet spiritually unable to decline it. Fresh from sonic exercises between Paris wine bars and Beachwood kitchen parties, Leclair will return to the booth after Dadada’s set alongside some special guests for an afterparty DJ summit. Expect to fall in love with Max, and perspire to enlightenment with Dadada. Free entry. Doors at 8. Leclair 8:00 Max Leone 9:00 Dadada 9:50 SLIP DJs 11-close
