Syncopate Sound: The Launch

We’re very excited to launch Syncopate Sound, a new space for rhythm-led, percussive club music rooted in UK bass, with a global edge. For our first session, we’re joined by Darama. A distinctive voice in the UK underground, his percussive, South Asian-rooted take on garage, grime and UK funky has made him one of the scene’s most sought-after selectors. As part of the Daytimers collective, his sound has become a staple across Rinse, BBC Radio and Reprezent, with his dubs circulating widely across the scene. More recently, his productions have moved into darker, more refined territory, weaving South Asian instrumentation, rolling UK funky drums and UK bass into something entirely his own.
