Guilty Cinema

Guilty Cinema is an experimental screening initiative founded by a group of CSM fashion communication students. It also operates as a digital culture lab—an ongoing experiment in “reversing the space.” We focus on images that are usually left out of public conversation, the ones that don’t fit into ideas of “good taste”—fragments often labelled as tacky, lowbrow, or uncultured. By taking them out of their private, sometimes slightly shameful viewing contexts, we bring them into a public setting that completely contradicts their original position. If “guilty pleasures” can offer something real and instinctive, then why hide them? We choose to put them on display—openly and unapologetically. No taste hierarchy, no pretending.
