Dave Huismans (ex_libris, A Made Up Sound) presents In Transit, a self-titled LP of arresting downtempo vignettes, with origins dating back to over a decade ago. Huismans returned in 2025 with two ex_libris EPs and In Transit, a self-titled LP released via FELT. First written in just two weeks in the summer of 2013 on a Korg ESX sampler, the record was then patiently refined over more than a decade into something dense, immersive and quietly transportive. Best known for the rhythmic innovations of A Made Up Sound and 2562, Huismans takes a different route here. On In Transit, beats are loosened from the centre and dispersed through a slower-moving landscape of shimmer, pressure and evolving texture. The album feels both precise and unhurried - a body of work that stretches dubwise logic into something more suspended, searching and atmospheric. At OTO, Huismans presents IN TRANSIT LIVE, drawing on material from the record in a form that foregrounds its long-brewed structures, strange internal motion and accumulated tension. Support comes from ELENI POULOU, whose practice spans music, sound installation, radio, poetry, zines and DJing. Alongside work with projects including Organza Ray, NOHE NOSHE, Bomb Sniffing Dogs and The Fall, her solo work moves between collage, song, voice and electronics. Her 2022 album Karta folds Pontic musical traditions into electronic club language, and her wider practice keeps finding vivid ways to connect performance, collaboration and broadcast culture. Also joining the bill is FERGUS JONES, an artist based in Copenhagen behind FELT, the independent label and event series that released Huismans’ In Transit. As both artist and organiser, Jones has helped shape a distinctive space for exploratory music that slips between categories without losing emotional charge. A rare chance to hear one of Huismans’ most compelling recent works in a live setting, framed by two artists whose own practices are equally attentive to texture and structure.
