Spring Garden Dance '26

Spring is HERE! And the Surrey Canal Fruit Commons beckons… In celebration of longer days, the magnificence of the natural world at this time, and the simple, beautiful fact we can sit on the grass once more, come one, come all to the Spring Garden Dance! We loved our gardening and dance day so much last year, and when Avalon told us they could do with another mega Spring session, we had to step up for round two. Picture wheelbarrows, baby fruit trees, seedling planting, pints, delicious fresh food, a sunset at 7:50PM (!) and a late night romp of a dance helmed by friends and expert selectas. From 3pm: 30 of us will help out with the mulching and preparation of the fruit trees through the Summer, as well as planting out seedlings to take home. From 6pm: we’ll open the dance floor into a ‘balearic, chuggy, wild and folkloric, ending in loose and silly’, continuum - closing with some unruly back to backs. Selectors: Basket of Light DJs, Muckers (Circle Dance), Sangre Voss, Arzou, Ri Mistry, Murr & Tetka Nika. Proceeds will be donated to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
