Yukihiro Atsumi “Hōgaku 2.0” NEXT JAPAN CLASSIC "A new form of Japanese music born from tradition— where Japanese Guitar and ancient instruments, modern sensibility, and natural sounds coexist." HŌGAKU 2.0 is a contemporary Japanese music project that redefines tradition as a living, evolving language. Rooted in classical Japanese aesthetics yet free from genre boundaries, the project integrates traditional instruments with Japanese Guitar — an instrument shaped by Japanese sensibility rather than Western rock lineage. Rather than “fusion,” HŌGAKU 2.0 presents evolution. Each performance is site-specific, designed for temples, sacred architecture, and resonant spaces where sound interacts with wood, stone, air, and silence.
