Witnessing Sound

Inspired by Njelle W. Hamilton’s Phonographic Memories, this session approaches music as a living archive. Tracks are heard as documents of their time- carrying traces of politics, place, migration and collective memory. Through a call-and-response format, the audience is invited to participate in the listening and be part of the process.
