90mil LOWDOWN : Maude Vôs, Oshiya B, Reinartz, SIM

We launch the first edition of lowdown, a new 90mil event series aimed at boosting accessibility in nightlife and bringing back affordability to the rave. Heavyweight line-ups for 5 euro entry all night long. For our first edition, we welcome Montreal's SIM, the 'slow-tech' innovator, a genre and philosophy which mutates influences from dub, dancehall, techno and jungle into a new rhythmic blend. The talented sound designer and bass DJ, Maude Vôs, joins from LA on their Europe tour. Aside from their tight selections and productions, Vôs is also committed to skill-sharing with other FLINTA and LGBTQ+ artists via Ableton workshops and audio production classes for non-profit organisations. Oshiya B, the artist formerly known as AUCO, joins lowdown. The Berlin- and London-based DJ fuses UK bass with global club sounds. Their AAJ Radio show, “Bass Breaks and Bacchanal,” dives into UK bass, Dancehall, and Caribbean-infused club energy. Local artist and Cancunese DJ, Reinartz, opens the night next Friday. He has made a number of releases on Appendix.files, merging dub techno influences with 'ADHD-ambient' and wonky rhythms.
