Juho Toivonen is an experimental musician from Pori, Finland, known for his minimalist and home-recorded compositions. His work has been released in multiple countries, including the United States, the UK, Sweden, and the Netherlands. He has collaborated with artists such as Loren Chasse and Mika Rättö (Circle). Toivonen is also known for running the independent labels Akti Records and Monks Hood, releasing multiple artists like Lau Nau, Acid Mothers Temple, Tetuzi Akiyama and Delphine Dora. Toivonen’s upcoming double album, Kaksin, will be released through the Swedish imprint Discreet Music in September 2026. Ulla is a Berlin-based musician/composer renowned for crafting intricate and resonant ambient music—characterized by a vaporous blend of gliding electronics and electroacoustics, offering intimate and spectral soundscapes that invite deep listener engagement. Since 2016, they have released several critically acclaimed albums, including *Big Room* (2019) and *Tumbling Towards A Wall* (2020), both praised for their depth and innovation. In 2022, Ulla introduced *Foam* , which incorporated piano, guitar, and chopped vocal fragments, presenting a glitchier sound, celebrated for its sound design, emotional depth, and its challenge to traditional ambient music conventions. Ulla’s most recent work, *Hometown Girl* , released under the alias U.e. on their own label 28912, marks a departure from earlier electroacoustic and digital compositions, embracing a more acoustic approach with clean-toned guitar, woodwinds, and piano.
