*SOLD-OUT* Thank you!! Sustained Sound: Practice and Process is a workshop examining ambient music as compositional philosophy rather than genre. Beginning from sound itself, we explore how tone becomes structural material, how imperfection and instability carry emotional weight, and how long-form works sustain presence through restraint and attentive listening. Rooted in our work as a duo, the session focuses on duration, context, and the shaping of texture through disciplined listening, exploring how intensity can emerge from limitation rather than accumulation. The workshop includes a live improvisation and discussion, with an emphasis on listening as an active compositional practice.
