At this concert you will experience a unique combination of two artists, united not by musical style, but by politically radical, uncompromising music about the times we live in. This kind of double bill would be otherwise hard to find! David Rovics (folk-punk) returns to Berlin after four years as part of his European tour 2026. In recent years he has made several albums in protest against the Israeli genocide against the Palestinians, following on from decades of songs about both Palestine and other anti-colonial struggles and anti-war songs. Numerous previous concert cancellations on account of his support for Palestinian freedom have discouraged touring in Germany until recently, but this venue is solid in its support for the cause. Liadland (lo-fi electro hip-hop) is an artist, a perpetual migrant, a queer trash diva, a Jew from Palestine and a master of the margins. She’s defined by electro-Shami/Arab beats and scales, low-fi hip-hop resonance, lyrical intensity and a show full of strength, vulnerability and sexitude. Her music and performance are informed by decades of political work on issues of decoloniality and queerness, and focus on creating space for multiply-marginalized misfits. We will send the money raised from ticket sales to the Lemon Tree Collective and Medico, who are carrying out vital humanitarian work in Gaza and Lebanon.
