Avalon Emerson & the Charm

Avalon Emerson has grown into one of the most respected DJs in the underground scene, from her beginnings in San Francisco’s warehouse circuit to her years in Berlin, where she has now been playing in clubs like Berghain for more than a decade. This year, she even closed out the Dekmantel Mainstage in Amsterdam. Now that she’s back in the United States and living in upstate New York, Avalon is revealing other musical talents. & the Charm was produced in collaboration with Nathan Jenkins (also known as Bullion), with whom she now works regularly, and showcases Avalon’s distinctive range and her ability to shift between high-BPM euphoric dance music and intimate indie pop. In 2023, Avalon introduced the live element she had previously previewed at Bitterzoet, marking a new chapter in her musicality. The new breakbeat track “Eden” is accompanied by footage of Avalon rushing from her home in upstate New York to the airport to catch a flight to Europe for her next DJ set.
