Jazz-o-Tech is a label dedicated to a deep-dive into a carefully nurtured sound that fuses traditional jazz improvisation with the avant-garde experimentalism of techno. Through its "This is Techno Jazz" series, which includes both a critically acclaimed double album and a celebrated party residency at Berlin’s iconic Kantine am Berghain - the label bridges the gap between electronic and acoustic music. It creates a new sonic vocabulary for the avant-garde, driven by a poly-centric musical identity that aims to write a new chapter in music history by bringing together jazz musicians and techno producers to freely express their vision. Taking this movement beyond borders, the "This is Techno Jazz" project now arrives in Tokyo for a special broadcast at the legendary Dommune. This session serves as a bridge between the raw energy of the Berlin underground and the cutting-edge streaming culture of Japan, showcasing the label's ambitious artistic effort on a global stage. For this showcase, label manager Mattia Prete teams up with aixx, 505, and PPQ for a three-hour event running from 21:00 to 00:00. The program features a seamless blend of DJ sets and live improvisation, moving between rare track selections and hardware-driven experimentation.
