Afriqua is a prodigy known for his releases on the prestigious R&S label, which helped launch the career of James Blake, as well as on RPR’s Raresh imprint, a cornerstone of Romanian minimal. Afriqua is a truly unique artist, blending the technical precision of a classically trained musician with the raw, rhythmic instincts of a hip-hop turntablist. In Room 1, Midori Aoyama, who runs the party and label Eureka! as well as Tsubaki FM, and has performed at VENT alongside Ron Trent, Marcellus Pittman, and Dam Swindle; Yukio Nohara, head of the Hello Friends label with releases on both domestic and international imprints; and Katimi Ai, who has supported artists like Octo Octa and Roi Perez in Japan, will all take the stage. In Room 2, André McLeod, a Tokyo-based DJ known for his eclectic sets spanning reggae-steppers, deep house, and disco, will be joined by Amane, organizer of Voita—a house and R&B-focused party held at Nakameguro’s solfa. Also performing are Kaolinite, active in the Shibuya scene since 2022 with appearances on the UK’s Netil Radio and China’s Baihui Radio, and Ryo, who focuses primarily on house and disco selections played from vinyl.
