Backstage pres. Mop & Mela

Next Thursday 11th at your favourite hideaway, Backstage. Amuleto presents two artists who bring magic on their sound: Mop and Mela. Mop's music has been played by respected figures from the global underground scene, including DJ Koolt, Álvaro Medina, Ludmila Di Pasquale, Ignacio Morales, and many others. His work has also found its way onto vinyl through labels such as Planka, People Unpleaser, and These Tasty Records. Mop productions are constantly evolving, moving freely between genres, rhythms, tempos, and textures. In his live performances, he places special emphasis on unreleased material, much of which can only be heard during his sets. Never confined to a single style or genre, this versatility has become a defining characteristic of his sound, allowing him to craft performances that are diverse, dynamic, and delightfully unpredictable. Joining him at the booth will be Mela. Born in Ecuador and now based in Barcelona, found her language through music from an early age. Over time, that connection evolved into a constant exploration of raw, rhythmic, and character-driven sounds. Her sets move fluidly between house, electro, acid, and breakbeat, weaving restless grooves with intricate sonic textures. With a thoughtful approach to building tension and momentum, she crafts dynamic journeys that keep the dancefloor engaged and in constant motion.
